Calendar on Your Dashboard
Today on your dashboard, week one click away.
Cowork already has calendar access from when you connected it back in the first lesson of this module. This last lesson is just about surfacing it on your dashboard so you don't have to flip between apps to see what's coming.
The pattern: a Calendar block on your dashboard that shows today by default — what's on it, when, and any notes — with the rest of the week one click or tap away. You open the dashboard with your coffee, see today's plan alongside your priorities, meals, and email brief, and start the day already oriented.
Add the Calendar block.
Open Family Manager. Tell Cowork:
Cowork updates the dashboard with the new block. Open it on your computer — today's events should appear immediately. Tap or click "rest of this week" to see the rest.
One thing about how the calendar shows up.
When you open the dashboard on your computer (in Cowork), the calendar block pulls live from Google Calendar — what you see is current. If you've deployed your dashboard to Netlify for family sharing (from Build Your Family Dashboard), the deployed version shows whatever was on your calendar at the moment of the last deploy — not live. To refresh the family's view, tell Cowork to redeploy. Or set up the auto-redeploy scheduled task from the dashboard lesson so it refreshes on its own.
Email & Calendar module — done.
That's the module. Email and calendar are now things Cowork works with, not just things you check on your phone.
What you built across this module
- Email + Calendar connected to Cowork — Gmail and Google Calendar directly, or via the workaround that fits your setup
- The morning email brief — a scheduled task that surfaces what needs you while you sleep, lands on your dashboard
- Reply drafting workflow — Cowork drafts in your voice, saves as Gmail drafts, you review and send
- On-demand inbox triage — for the moments the morning brief doesn't cover, including the triage-and-draft combo
- Calendar on your dashboard — today's events visible, week one click away
Tune it as you go.
Every part of this module gets better with iteration. As you use the morning brief, you'll notice the tags don't always land — tell Cowork to refine. As you draft replies, you'll catch tone drift — tell Cowork to update the patterns in your Mom Profile. After a few weeks, the whole module's calibrated to you.
Next: pick another module — or stop here.
This was one of seven Phase 4 modules. You don't have to do them all. Pick what's still bugging you — meal planning, money, kid stuff, household, trips, just-in-case binder — or stop and live with what you have for a while. The system you built across Phases 2 and 3 keeps working regardless.
